It is with great sadness that the Lapointe family announces the peaceful passing of Raymond Lapointe in Sudbury on Monday, February 3rd, 2020 at the age of 93 years. Son of the late Évagre and the late Adorilda (née Berubé) Lapointe. Beloved husband of Stella Lapointe (née Lalonde). Loving father of Gilles, Camille (Jane), Denise, André (Angèle), Eloi (Marguerite), Gaëtan (Mona), Lise, Suzanne Chartrand (Roger), Roger, Jocelyne and Guylaine. Dear brother of Rita, Jeannine, Yolande. Predeceased by his siblings Raoul, Roland, Annette, Wilemine, Macelin, René, Camille, Léo, Marie-Ange, George and Réjeanne. Loving grandfather to his 18 grandchildren and 13 great-granchildren. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Raymond was a Knights of Columbus 3rd degree member of the Counsel 12047 and a founding member and 4th degree of the ``Assemblée Msgr Roger Despatie``. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, on Sunday, February 9, 2020 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, February 10, 2020 at 10:30 a.m. at Ste-Anne des Pins Church, Sudbury.
