It is with great sorrow that the family announces her passing in Val Caron on Tuesday, June 6, 2023 at the age of 72 years. Daughter of the late Allie and late Helen (née MacDonald) Wyers. Loving mother of Jason Evans (Nathalie) and Melissa Evans. Dear sister of Harvey Wyers (Suzanne). Cherished grandmother of Jacob, Alexia and Mia who she cared for deeply. Sadly missed by her aunts Monica MacDonald, Edith Wyers as well as by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Marilyn was the glue that kept her relatives and friends connected and up to date with each other's lives. The Wyers, MacDonald and Rokas families will be eternally grateful for her caring attention over her lifetime. When family members needed support, Marilyn was the one to jump into the car and drive to New Brunswick to help. Marilyn was an accomplished painter and animal lover. She loved her life at her house on the West Arm of Lake Nipissing, it was here she held her yearly ‘’girly weekends’’ where her girlfriends from her younger days would be brought together for boating, card playing and a drink or two. This was Marilyn again being the glue for her friends, as she was for her family. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 1082 Cloverdale Court, Blezard Valley from 2-5 p.m. Donations can be made by cheque or online to the Alzheimer Society and Heart and Stroke Foundation.
