Great, great grandmother to Emersyn and Sawyer. Laurette grew up in rural St-Charles in the mid 1930s, the third of thirteen children. She left home at a young age and worked diligently until settling into her preferred role as homemaker. Her priority was to ensure her family and siblings were well taken care of. Laurette’s love language was food and there was never any shortage of it when she was around. Family members will miss her regular and often daily phone calls and long chats. It was important for her to stay connected to what was happening in the lives of the people she cared about the most. Later on, in her life, Laurette ran a busy daycare for many years and sowed her love into many young infants and children. She was a big personality who never missed a music concert, hockey, soccer game or important events involving her grandchildren. In the recent past, Laurette and Roger enjoyed an Appreciation Night where family and friends showered her with music, gifts, words of love, appreciation and to Laurette's delight, an endless buffet of food, fine coffee and desserts. Respecting Laurette's request, there will be no funeral service or visitation. Thanks to the Cooperative Funeral Home cooperativefuneralhome.ca for cremation services and Health Sciences North staff for the supportive and loving care provided.
