It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at the age of 81 years. Daughter of the late Edmond and the late Clémentine (née Major) Poirier. Beloved wife of Marcel Gauthier. Loving mother of Line Jerome, Lorraine Methé, Michel Gauthier and Robert Gauthier. Dear sister of Denise Ohrt, Gilles Poirier, Gisèle Poirier and Guy Poirier. Cherished grandmother of Jonathan Savard, Mélanie Methé, Michel Methé, Shawn Gauthier, late Jeffrey Gauthier, Leah Tassé, Jacob Tassé, Maiden Tassé, Devon Gauthier and Sophie Gauthier. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Jeannine’s love of people and zest for life made her most pleasant to be with. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Sunday, February 6, 2022 from 2-5 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 1 p.m. at St-Jean de Brébeuf Church, Sudbury.
