The family announces with great sorrow the passing of Gilles Monette (74 years) on Wednesday, December 4th 2019. Beloved husband of 53 years of Lucille (née Poulin) Monette. Loving Father of Sylvie Monette (Donald Paquette) of Azilda and Roger (predeceased). Very special grand-father of Isabelle and Émilie. Son of the late Théodore and late Alberte (née Routhier) Monette. Dear brother of Ghislaine Books (late Joseph), Rachel Lapalme (Jean-Marc), Normand Monette (Dianne) and the late Pierre Monette (Christine). Gilles leaves behind many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law and friends who always appreciated his witty sense of humor. Gilles, a Knight of Columbus for more than 25 years, was devoted to both his family and the community of Noëlville. The family will receive relatives and friends in the hall of St-David Church, 8 Notre-Dame E in Noëlville, on Tuesday, December 10th from 7-9pm and from 9-11 am on Wednesday, December 11th followed by a funeral mass at 11am. Donations by cheque only to the St-David Parish in Noëlville. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home, Sudbury.
