Obituary for Ghislaine Chartrand (Beaudry)

Ghislaine Chartrand (Beaudry)
CHARTRAND, Ghislaine (née Beaudry)
The family announces with great sorrow her passing in Sudbury on December 27, 2019. Daughter of the late Octave and of the late Léa (née Miron) Beaudry. She left us to be reunited with her first husband Jacques Demers and also her second husband Gérard Chartrand. She will forever be in the heart of her four daughters, Carole Edwards (Kirk), Michelle Demers (David Morley), Guylaine Boulard (Denis), Jacqueline Demers-Kohls (Thomas) and also her daughter-in-law Monique Chartrand (Marc Corriveau). Sadly missed by her brothers and sisters Henriette (Claude Magny), Marc, Claudette (Marcel Fortier), Normand (Marie Renaud), Thérèse (Ronald Hogue), Denise (late Alcide Giroux) François (Denise Arcand), Luc (Suzanne Danis) and Guy (Nicole Arcand). Predeceased by her brother Roger (late Monique Sylvestre) and her sister, Soeur Raymonde Beaudry. Lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Cherished grandmother of Mathieu Corriveau, Derek Edwards, Ashley Hilton, Mikal Corriveau, Danie Boulard, Talia Boulard, Joshua Kohls and Jacob Kohls. She will be greatly missed by the Demers and Chartrand families. Ghislaine grew up in Verner and studied in Ottawa for a career in teaching. She then left teaching to raise her family in Hanmer. She later took part in business with La Boutique des Artisans where she shared her love for sewing and crafts with her clients. She had an artistic talent that was expressed through sewing, weaving, knitting, crochet and painting. Her catalognes blankets will always be precious and keep us warm. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Elizabeth Center Staff for the devotion and the quality of care Ghislaine received. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday January 4, 2020 at 10 a.m. at Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church. Donations to Diabetes Canada can be made by cheque or online at www.cooperativefuneral.ca
