It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing in Sudbury, on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at the age of 85 years. Son of the late Joseph and late Emilia (née Laviolette) Charbonneau. Loving dad to Lise Charbonneau (Tom), Rénald Charbonneau (Sylvie) and Suzanne Falardeau (Mario). Cherished Pépère to Jacqueline Belanger, Sylvain Falardeau (Melissa), late Bobby Charbonneau, Patrick Falardeau (Crystal), Mélanie Gillespie (Tyler) and André Charbonneau. Great-grandfather to Dawson, Greysen, Payton, Lisa, Kiana, Leeila and Madison. Predeceased by his siblings: Antoinette, Nelson, Rhéal (Lilly), Donald, Fernande (Alpha), Antonio, Maurice (Alice), Antoinette (Ones), Rita (Marcel), Thérèse, Roger, Martial (Thérèse), Gérard and Nicole (André). He will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Fern was a hard-working man that loved his family more than anything. He loved spending time outdoors, fishing, camping, and hunting. When indoors, he was found playing cards, listening to country music, and watching his beloved Montreal Canadians. He had the biggest heart. Always making sure everyone had something to eat and drink, and never letting the glass get empty. He loved laughing and talking about the good old days of mining or recounting one of his many adventures in the bush. Anyone could always count on him to lend a helping hand.

A memorial Mass will be held at St-Joseph Church, in Chelmsford, on Saturday, October 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. In his memory, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation can be made by cheque or online. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
