In loving memory of Elizabeth Kennedy who passed away in Sudbury, Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at the age of 92 years. Beloved wife of the late Michael Kennedy. Loving mother of John (predeceased), Peter (Susan), Susan Forest (Ron), Paul (Colette), Cecilia Ross (Al), Philip (Linda), Robert and Marie Gedey (Chuck). Cherished grandmother of 14 and great-grandmother of 20. Predeceased by her parents Gaston and Marie-Louise Rosset, as well as her siblings Madeleine, Edmond, Robert, John, Henri and Georges.
Betty was born in Copper Cliff and grew up in Gatchell. She earned her teaching certificate from North Bay but soon after she pursued her chief vocation which was motherhood. She was a New Sudbury pioneer who lived at the corner of Lasalle and Barrydowne, and was a founding member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. She attended daily Mass throughout her entire adult life. She was a talented homemaker and the rock of our lives. She was well-loved. The family would also like to express our thanks to Shannon. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Sunday, October 16, 2022 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday, October 17, 2022 at 10 a.m. at St-Andrew the Apostle Church, Sudbury. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
