Obituary for Daniel Rejean Lavallée

Daniel Rejean Lavallée
Daniel Rejean “Danner” Lavallee
Dan was born Aug 18th, 1977, and left us Nov 4th 2023 at the young age of 46.
Son of Richard and Rejeanne Lavallee (nee Carriere). Brother of Lyne (Marc) and Luc (Lindsay). Spouse of 17 years to Tanya Bob and stepfather to Donovan (predeceased 2020) Tyler and Payton. Uncle to Kevin Landry (Meaghan), Lisa Landry (Mathieu), Owen Benoit and Olivia Lavallee. He leaves behind his precious granddaughter June and his furry friend Molly. Daniel worked most of his career with F. Faggioni Construction and B. Dittrich Construction.

Where do we begin when describing Daniel….

Danner-Doo, a name that followed him since high school with the infamous catch phrase ‘Doo-Doo!’ Doo-Doo could mean anything from yes, no, right on, hi or bye! It was contagious and made everyone smile when he said it. He will own it forever.

Dan loved the outdoors and was always on an adventure. Whether it be fishing, kayaking, rough camping or building fires. The bigger the fire the better, always making sure everyone was warm and dry. He was a fire bug and could make fires wherever he was, alone in the woods or at his camp.

He spent many years camping at Pair O Dice Park in Wahnapitae First Nation. Danner made many connections because of his ability and willingness to help others around him. He liked a cold one, good music and a good joke. If you needed a hand with something, he was always willing to help. Danner often stopped to share what he had with the less fortunate. Could be a few cigarettes, coffee, food and a smile. A very down to earth, larger than life heart and loving soul. We need more people like you Danner, and that’s how we will remember you forever.

Mental Health is affecting many and is as rampant as cancer. If you know someone that is struggling, there is help with the Mental Support Hotline at 1-877-825-9011.

May you rest in peace now my son, my brother, my husband, my stepdad, my uncle, my brother-in-law, my papa (June), my master (Molly), friends and family from Sagamok First Nation.

Until we meet again Danner.
From all of us, Doo-Doo ♥
