Obituary for Armand Proulx

The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Tuesday, September 10th, 2013 at the age of 69 years. Beloved husband of Hélène (née Rodrigue) Proulx of Sudbury. Son of the late Aldema and of the late Dolorès (née Chevrier) Proulx. Loving father of Monique Schryer (husband Joel) and Dan Proulx (wife Niki) both of Sudbury. Dear brother of Claudette Montpellier (Lionel) of Chelmsford. Adored and proud pépère of Alex, Natalie and Tyler. Armand will also be missed by his relatives and many friends. Born and raised in the Flour Mill area, he was the owner of Armand’s Auto Clinic and the Silver Bullet. No problem was ever too great for Armand who was always willing to help others in their time of need and managed to MacGyver a solution. Music was a passion for Armand throughout his life and he never passed an opportunity to teach the next generation how to “Jive”. Among his many interests, he was a member of the Sudbury Classic Cruisers, he enjoyed attending car shows, working on old cars and spending many happy hours at his cottage on the West Arm. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Friday, September 13th, 2013 from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10 a.m. at St-Jean-de-Brébeuf Church, Sudbury. Donations (by cheque only) to the Maison Vale Hospice or the St-Jean-de-Brébeuf renovation fund would be appreciated.
