Obituary for Ursule Landry (Gatien)

Ursule Landry (Gatien)
It with heavy hearts that we announce the passing or our dear mother on February 13th, 2017. Surrounded by her family she passed away peacefully at Maison Mcullough Hospice after a courageous battle with cancer. Mom was a very special person who cared for everyone she loved and was respected by all who knew her. Her greatest pleasures in life were being a grandmother and great grandmother. She was very dedicated to all her family. Mom was a telephone operator at Bell Canada for 37 years. After retirement she was active with the Bell Pioneers making pillows for the heart patient in the cardiovascular units. She enjoyed spending time with her best buddy Viv going to Bingo and more recently the Casino. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Share Care Team, all the wonderful staff at the Maison McCullough Hospice, and the 6th floor staff at HSN. Special thanks to Dr. Singh, CCAC staff, and our angel nurses and PSW at the hospice. She will always be remembered as the loving wife of the late Oscar Landry of Sudbury. Daughter of late Laurent and late Eva (née Sauvé) Gatien. Loving mother of Janet Arbour (Ronald), Cheryl Danis (Henri) and Alain Landry. Dear sister of Vivianne Chrétien (late Bob) of Sudbury and Gaetane Wright (late Merrill) of Winnipeg. Predeceased by her brother Robert Gatien. Cherished grandmother of Stephanie (Wayne), Shane (Christina), Matthieu, Roxanne, Jennifer and great-grandmother of Oscar, Tyson, Serenity and Lennox. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Friday, February 17th, 2017 from 7 to 9 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday, February 18th, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Notre-Dame-de-la-Merci Church, Coniston.
