The family announces with sorrow her passing Thursday, March 31, 2022 at the age of 88 years. Wife of 60 years to the late Viateur St-Pierre (2012) and special friend to Norm Wennerstrom of Sudbury. Daughter of the late Evagre and the late Dorilda (née Bérubé) Lapointe. Loving mother of Michel (Suzanne) of Wahnapitae, Ginette (Cesare Saveri) of Italy, Richard (Jeannie) of London, Hélène of Sudbury, Roger (Kim) and Manon (Mark Martin) both of Garson, Lyne (Bill Eisnor) of Hamilton and son-in-law Brian Solski. Dear sister of Janine Lapointe. Predeceased by her siblings Raoul, Roland, Annette Menard, Wilhelmine Lapointe, Marcellin, René, Camille, Léo, Raymond, Rita Lalonde, Marie-Ange Jacques, Georges and Réjeanne Campbell. Cherished grandmother of David (Elizabetta), Cynthia (Jeff), Eric (Sylvie), Steve, Andrea (Sam), Lianne (Kayne), Melanie (Neil), Derek (Heidi), Melissa (Mick), Mark, Elyse, Noah, Joshua, Luke and great-grandmother of Emily, Michael-Allen, Alice, Luca, Megan, Kaydence, Jacob, Audrey, Anouk, Maddox and Cage. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family and friends. Yolande was co-owner/operator and founder of St-Pierre & Sons Flooring. She enjoyed travels to Europe, her condo in Florida but was happiest when surrounded by her numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Special thanks to staff at Health Sciences North and Finlandia Lepokoti for their dedication. The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Wednesday, April 6,2022 from 1 to 2 p.m. A private, intimate funeral service for family will follow later in the afternoon. Due to the pandemic, family would prefer guest to wear masks. In lieu of flowers, donations (by cheque or online) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Kidney Foundation of Canada would be appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
