In loving memory of Thérèse Lemieux (née Turcot) who passed away Saturday, April 11th, 2020, at Extendicare Falconbridge, Sudbury, at the age of 99 years. Daughter of the late Arthur and of the late Alma (née Henderson) Turcot. She followed the light of Christ to be with her husband Laurent Lemieux (predeceased in 2000), her daughter Madeleine Lemieux (predeceased in 2015), and her 14 brothers and sisters. Loving mother of Gabriel Lemieux (Teresita) of St-Charles, François Lemieux (late Cécile) of Landrienne, QC, George Solomon (Lucienne) of Hanmer, and Arthur Choquette (late Mariette) of Sudbury. Loving grand-maman of Christian, Maria, William, Camille (Kristy), Laurent (Katelyn), Normand (Isabelle), Guillaume (Mylène), Marie-Jeanne (Joël), Raphaël (Julie), Sylvie (Gary), Serge, Stéphane, Philippe (Renée), and Daniel (Sylvie). Loving great-grandmother of Jérémie, Alexandre, Grant, Valérie, Mathieu, Belle, Ava, Easton, Gabriella, Abigail, Félix, Maélie, Sélina, Charles, Gabriel, Mathias, Justin, Abigaëlle, Isaac, and Naïma. She will be missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will cherish many good memories. Predeceased by her brothers and sisters : Marie-Jeanne Chèvrefils (late Albert), Sœur Blanche (f.d.l.s), Marcel (late Thérèse), Noël (Carmen of Sudbury), Irené (Rita of Barrie), Antoinette, Yolande, Sœur Madeleine (f.d.l.s), Arthur (late Liliane), Maurice, Jean-Marie (Jacqueline of Sudbury), Liliane Coyne (late Daniel), Robert (Hélène of Garson), and Gilles (Denise of Sudbury). Thérèse was born on October 15th, 1920 in St-Urbain, Québec. She was a person that had tremendous faith. A very simple women, she expressed love by sharing to all who visited. She worked hard and relentlessly on the farm. A passionnate gardener, she was proud of her hard work and enjoyed the fruits of her labour. Her family loved to listen to her stories of the past and her blueberry picking adventures; her wisdom inspired them all. Her family was always her biggest joy. She will be greatly missed. The family would like to thank the staff on the 2nd floor of Extendicare Falconbridge for their wonderful care and commitment. A special thanks to Nicole Wilson for her love and support while visiting her aunt Thérèse. Under the current circumstances, a private visitation will be held for the immediate family. Spring interment will be held in St-Charles Cemetery, ON. A memorial service will be held at a later date in St-Charles Borromée Church, St-Charles, ON.
