Thérèse  Lachapelle
The family announces with sorrow, her death in Sudbury on February 26th, 2020 at the age of 95 years. Wife of the late Joseph Lachapelle, predeceased in 2014. Daughter of the late Albert Comtois and the late Émiliana (née Beaulieu). Beloved mother of Gilles (Diane), Paulette, Bill (Lesley), Monique (Jean), Bernard (Raymond). Dear sister of Florand Contois (Germaine). Predeceased by her sisters Marie Doyon (late Henri), Diane Therrien (late Henri), Irène Lachapelle (late Raymond) and by her brothers Wilfrid (late Marguerite), Hector (Aline), Marcel (Cécile). She will be sadly missed by her 5 grandchildren and 7 great- grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She was known by her grandchildren as “Grand-maman”. She volunteered for many years at the Lasalle Residence and at Extendicare Falconbridge and was an active member of la Paroisse St-Dominique, Sudbury. Therese lived her final years at Red Oak Villa, Sudbury and her last months at Findlandia Nursing Residence. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to the staff at Red Oak Villa and the Findlandia Hoivakoti Nursing Home (Koivu) and in particular to Agèle Giroux from Bayshore Home Care. Your kindness and care were greatly appreciated during her final journey. Funeral arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd. E. (at Notre-Dame), Sudbury.  Funeral mass will be held on May 23rd 2020 at 2PM at la Paroisse Ste-Anne-des-Pins, Sudbury. The family will receive friends and relatives in the parish hall afterwards.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made (by cheque only) to la Paroisse St-David, Noëlville (renovations) or to a charity of choice.
