The Giver

Therese was an angel. The last time she called me I was crying & all I said was "I'm in so much pain I'm going to the hospital. I'm waiting for my daughter to pick me up." She wanted to invite me for supper. So when I got better with some meds I started calling her for 3 days to no avail, then I find out of her passing. I've known Therese for nearly 30yrs. I had her back & she had mine. She was very generous & at the same time her resources were wide. Namely, active in her church as a Colombiette an organization that raises money for the poor. She was in Cursillo with the church to learn about spreading her light far & wide. She participated in the Bible courses to know her God as much as she could. 12 steps was of great value to her & she practiced the principles of those groups as a devout Catholic. The last time I had the pleasure of a social gathering with her was the last NISA Christmas party. I had a friend in Therese always having her close company at any event we chose to attend together. She had a good heart & was actively helping a person who was in the most dire need. For pleasure she attended a knitting group with the Centre de Sante Her socks were impeccable. HER CHILDREN MEANT A LOT TO HER & that's how I had her back when she attended meetings. I knew what it was like trying to raise a child alone. Her strong faith was in the grand scale style category! Rest in Peace in the arms of your Saviour! You were a great courageous friend to many and you will not be forgotten & taken far too young. Paix Therese chere amie!
