It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Sudbury on Friday, October 9th, 2020 at the age of 93 years. Son of the late Jean-Baptiste “Johnny” Joly and late Valéda (née Daoust) Joly. Beloved husband of 72 years to Isabelle (née Charette) Joly. Loving father of Jacques Joly (Carol), Raymond Joly, Linda Zannier (Robert), Bernard Joly (Rachelle) and Gilles Joly. Cherished grandfather of Aline, Christopher, Louise, Roxanne, Daniel, Roxanne and Christine. Great-grandfather of Aidan, Emilie, Aaliyah, Shaye, Liam, Chloe, Katie, Sarah, Bexley, Yannick and Maxsim. Predeceased by all his siblings Blanche (Noël), Laurent (Thérèse), Georges (Gisèle), Eva (Wilfred), Willfrid (Blanche), Noël (Thérèse), Sylvia (Isabelle), Gérard (Julia), Marielle (René) and Roma (Jeannette). The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Saturday, October 17th, 2020 from 1-3 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. in the funeral home Chapel. Due to the current pandemic, there will be a limit to the number of people attending at the funeral home and church. Masks are mandatory.
