RAIL, Rita (née Labine)
It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Chelmsford at St-Gabriel’s Villa, Monday, April 6, 2020 at the age of 89 years. Daughter of the late John and the late Laurie (née Jones) Labine. Beloved mother of Gail Cushing (Larry) Donna Mukasa (Paul), Grant Fleury (Debbie), Shelley Fleury, Kelly-Ann Jorgensen (Marc), Kerry Martin (Ed) and Robin Jorgensen. Dear sister of Shirley, Mary, John, Beverley, Joan and Mark. Predeceased by her siblings Rodney and Eileen. Cherished grandmother of 14 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. She enjoyed attending to her flower gardens, sewing, doing crafts and she had a passion for porcelain dolls. Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. It always brought a smile to her face when they called her Grandma and Great Mother. She was a strong, hard-working, very independent woman and was always there for her children.
In the circumstances of the current pandemic, we must respect the current provincial guidelines of a maximum of 10 attendees. A private family gathering will take place at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury.
