It is with great sadness that the family announces her passing in Sudbury on Monday August 2, 2021, 10 days short of her 92nd birthday. Beloved wife of Sylvio Montpellier. Daughter of the late Arthur and the late Marie-Rose (née Vachon) Beaudry. Dearly loved mother of Raymonde, Bernard (Nancy), Donald (Sylvie), Denise (Brian) (late Ronald), Nicole (Dale), Gisèle (late Timothy), Gabriel (Anne), Jean-Claude (Louise), Michelle (Dan) and predeceased infant son. Dear sister of Gloria (late Roma), Viola (late Armand), Léo (late Lucille) and Suzanne. Predeceased by her brothers Roger (late Elizabeth), Raymond (late Marcelle) and by her sisters Marie-Jeanne (late Lucien), Laurette (late Frank) and Berthe (late Raymond). Sadly missed by her 19 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Rita was a woman of great faith, trusting that God would take care of everything. She was a kind, loving, selfless mother to all her children and grandchildren, and was the greatest babysitter to many grandchildren. She worked hard on the family farm, supporting her husband and raising her children. In her retirement years, she took time to donate time to La Fédération des Femmes Canadiennes Françaises, loved to read and do “mots cachés”, dedicate time to her religion and spend as much time with family as she could.

Heaven gained the best.

A private family gathering will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August 12, 2021 at 2 p.m. at St-Joseph Church, Chelmsford. Donations can be made (by cheque or online) to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
