The family announces with sorrow his passing in Sudbury on Friday, March 13, 2020 at the age of 94 years. Son of the late Sylvain and late Yvonne (née Peticlerc) Marleau. Beloved husband of Claire (née Brideau) Marleau. Loving father of Michel (Sonja Langill) and Claude (Yvonne). Dear brother of Jacques and Suzanne. Predeceased by his siblings Paulo, Aurore, Yvette, Denise and Jeanette. Cherished grandfather of Daniel and Eve. Lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. René worked as a Machinist in Quebec Aircraft Industry, Gold Miner, and 39 years at INCO as a Cottrell Operator. René lived to make people laugh with his jokes. His service to others included 23 years as a volunteer at Health Sciences North. Funeral Arrangements entrusted to the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, Sudbury. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at the St-Dominique Church, Saturday, September 19, 2020 at 11 a.m. Expressions of Sympathy will be received by Claire Marleau at the 1645 Paris St., Sudbury, P3E 6L5 (Southwind Residence).
