It is with profound sadness that the family announces his death in Wahnapitae, Thursday, January 23rd, 2020 at the age of 95 years. Beloved husband of Yvette (née Lavallée) Richer of Sudbury. Son of the late Joseph and the late Elizabeth (née Beauchamps) Richer. Loving father of Ronald, Philip, Daniel, Gregory and Nicole Larochelle. Dear brother of Gertrude Demeis. Predeceased by many brothers and sisters. Cherished grandfather of many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was a veteran of the Second World War and a long-time member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #76. The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury, Thursday, January 30th, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon. A funeral service will follow at 12:00 noon in the funeral home Chapel.
