Obituary for Pierre Langevin

Pierre Langevin
It is with profound sadness that the family announces his sudden passing (after a brief illness) on May 14, 2023 at the age of 64 years. Beloved husband of 39 years to Kelly (née Callahan) Langevin. Son of the late Bernard and late Marlene (née Turcotte) Langevin. Devoted father of Brandon (Crystal) and Breena. Dear brother of Bernadette, Monique (Mike), Daniel (Kim), and Nicole (Blaine). Predeceased by his brother Jacques. Cherished grandfather of Aeva and Wesley. Equally missed by his nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Pete was a devout member of St. Alexander’s Church and a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus. Pete’s beautiful voice will be missed from St. Alexander’s choir, from which he was a predominant member. He sang at mass every Sunday as well as at concerts throughout his life.

Along with his wife Kelly, they volunteered their time to run the Chelmsford Food Bank after the passing of the past director and dear friend Danny Lowes.

Pete loved fishing, Nascar, cooking, and especially spending time at camp on Manitoulin Island. He was very social and loved surrounding himself with his family and friends. He never hesitated to lend a helping hand. His perpetual silliness brought laughs, smiles, and joy to every room he entered. His goofy character and sense of humor is how most will remember him.

The family will receive family and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4691 RR 15, Chelmsford on Friday, May 19, 2023 from 2-5 and 7- 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 11 a.m. at the St-Alexander’s Church. In lieu of flowers, donations by cheque the Friendship House Food Bank or to St-Alexander’s Church would be appreciated. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
