She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on the 12th of February 2023. Predeceased by her parents Ernestine (née Charette) and Antonio Gauvin. Marie-Rose was born in Corbeil, ON. She was predeceased in 2018 by her husband of 63 years, her best friend and soul mate William D. Langlois, who was known to say: “It all started with a kiss”. Beloved mother of Bill wife Marty, Donald D. (deceased at age 15), Phil wife Hélène, Gerry wife Sue, Ray wife Mary, Monique husband Keith Constantineau. Cherished Memere to her 11 grandchildren, Proud Mami to her 17 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her sisters: Cécile, Thérèse, Aline, Mignonne and her brother Dorval Gauvin. Survived by many relatives and friends. She was the bookkeeper at Mayfair Office Supplies in Hanmer. A devout Catholic, she attended Ste-Marguerite d’Youville Church. She was a Eucharist Minister for many years. Marie-Rose and her husband William had talent and a passion for singing and shared this with friends and in church choirs. She was an active member of the Ladies Auxiliary, KC council 5005 Hanmer, for the past 38 years. She was a talented quilter and made them for weddings and personalized ones for her grandchildren. Her children’s homes displayed many crafts and handmade souvenirs she had given them. In 2002, she wrote a genealogy book: Charette/Gauvin and Lachapelle/Langlois. It was a lifelong dream and was title Notre Cadeau/Our gift. Her family calendars noted special events, dates, memories, also video/audio DVDs of Christmas, weddings, and family reunions. She will be sadly missed but never forgotten. Her family was her most precious possession and she always welcomed them with open arms. Heartfelt thanks to the many doctors, specialists, surgeons, nurses and PSWs Deeanne, in particular, who have crossed her path in the last ten years. Her daughter Monique was her special angel. As per her request, there will be no visitation or viewing. Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 13, 2023 at the Hanmer Lions Club from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
