It is with great sadness that her family announces her passing in Sudbury on April 12, 2021 at the age of 96 years. Daughter to the late Thomas and late Laurence (née Simard) Perras. Beloved wife to the late Rosaire Lauzon. Dear mother to Simone Proulx (Robert) of Dowling, Angele Barry (late Leslie) of Val Caron, Richard (Jan) of Levack and Suzanne Coupal (Edward) of Sudbury. Cherished grandmother to 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild. Sister to Gerry (Mary) and predeceased by her other siblings: Jeanne Bazinet, Sr. Yvonne Perras, Sr. Simone Perras and Alphonse Perras. She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. A special thank you to all the staff at Extendicare York for the wonderful care given to Maria. In keeping with her wishes, a private visitation and memorial service will be held at a late date.
