It's in the morning that it hurts the most. I loved her so much. We all loved her so much.
All those lonely times she wondered if anybody cared, well now she knows.
The funeral was beautiful and was perfectly organised.
So many relatives told me how much they loved mom and how she helped and touched them.
This was equally true from relatives on Dad's side of the family as on Mom's side of the family.
During the evening showing, I had a chance to sit back and observe, it was a little loud with people chatting
and laughing but just the way she would like it. A good amount of people came to pay respect.
The day after, we had a beautiful mass at the church where most of us got baptised and even got married.
Mom’s wish was granted where she had all but two of her boys carry her casket into the church.
In the evening, we had a nice gathering with Mom’s children, grand-children and great-grandchildren.
My sister in law’s family prepared a nice meal for us. A really nice gesture and much appreciated by everyone.
The burial was difficult but we couldn’t have asked for a nicer day in late October. Blue sky, warm and
beautiful fall colours.
It was Mom smiling down on us as we were all together once again with Dad.
