The family announces, with great sorrow, Léonard Dépatie’s passing in Sudbury on Saturday, June 13, 2020 at the age of 86 years. Beloved husband of the late Alma Dépatie (née Ménard). Son of the late Emile Despatie and the late Claudia (née Charbonneau). Loving father of Nicole (Richard) Houle and Julie Dépatie (Mike Lauzon). Predeceased by his daughter Lise Dépatie-Lee (Sean). Dear brother of Lucille Gemus (Daniel). Predeceased by his brothers and sisters: Olida Dépatie (Priscille), Rev. Gérard Despatie SJ., Sr Germaine Despatie, Mgr. Roger Despatie and Fleur-Ange Laurin (Fernand). Cherished grandfather of Alain (Melyssa), Chantalle, Denis (Krystel) and Matthieu. Great grandfather of Zoé, Jacob, Logan and Max.  Léonard was a member of the “Club Amical” and he loved bowling and golfing. He was a happy man with a great sense of humour, and will be greatly missed. Due to the pandemic, a family gathering followed by a memorial service in the chapel will take place at a later date.
