It is with great sadness that the family announces his passing on April 8, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Son of the late Louis and Antoinette (née Rouleau) Paquette. Beloved husband of Lorraine Paquette (née Poulin). He will be lovingly remembered by his siblings: late Fleurette Prudhomme, late Marie Laure Bouillon, late Urbain Paquette (late Ann Marie), Aline Bastien (late Robert), late Richard Paquette (Marilyn) and late Gérald Paquette (Joyce). Laurier will be greatly missed by many nieces and nephews. Self-employed mechanic who founded his own business, Azilda Garage, and retired in 1976. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus #11559, 3 degree at Ste-Agnes Church in Azilda. He created the “Fonds de bourses Laurier et Lorraine Paquette” at Collège Boréal to be able to give annual bursaries to students. Laurier is recognized in the category of Founders. His favorite pastimes were: being in nature, surrounded by the peacefulness of the woods, fishing and hunting. In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place.
