Nico van Wieringen

We hereby send our condolences to all our Canadean family members. I assume that we all agree that his years at Hoivakoti have been very tough and hard for John and for that reason his death is a blessing for himself. We will remember John as a cousin who a.o. * enjoyed his visits to the Netherlands; * was a friendly host when we visited him in Canada and who was proud to talk in particular about the outdoor life in Canada; * who loved the nature of Canada; * who had a special character but which was certainly formed during his childhood and these years were in the fifties and sixties certainly NOT the most easy years in his life; * a cousin which I admired for what he had learned and done as a self made man; I never heard from him that he could NOT do something (but that is typical for most Canadean cousins). Let John rest in peace.
