Obituary for Jeannine Cesnek (Rivais)

Jeannine Cesnek (Rivais)
CESNEK, Jeannine
February 12th, 1926 – February 19th, 2021
In loving memory of Jeannine Cesnek (née Rivais), 95 years, who passed away peacefully at Pioneer Manor on February 19, 2021. Loving wife of late Joseph “Joe” Cesnek, predeceased in 2000. Daughter of late Joe and late Alice Rivais (née Branconnier). Dear sister of late Jeanette Rivais, late Della Mulville (late Vince), Grace Leblanc (late Fernand), late Florence Stark (late Phil) and Ronald Rivais (late Evelyn). Dear special cousin and honorary sister of late Noella Kruk (late Albert). Dear sister-in-law of Bob and Fran Cesanek. Special aunt to many nieces and nephews. Born in Coniston in 1926, Jeannine lived a long and dynamic life. A teacher in Virginia town for 38 years, she loved both the children and her profession. In 1983 she retired and moved back to Coniston where she spent many years with her husband, Joe, travelling, playing golf and spending many winters in Florida. We would like to express our sincere gratitude to the wonderful staff at Pioneer Manor. We are grateful for the excellent care and compassion that was shown to our Aunt Jean during her last moments. A celebration will take place at Cooperative Funeral Home, 222 Lasalle Blvd, Sudbury on Saturday, March 6, 2021 by invitation only due to Covid restrictions and masks are mandatory. A live streaming ceremony on Saturday, March 6, 2021 at 11 a.m. will be available. Please visit: https://event.forgetmenotceremonies.com/ceremony?c=b6e5bac7-8116-4f8b-b1e2-ff3d0be05f61 A light lunch (by invitation) will be served at the Colonial Inn after the service. During her teaching career, Jeannine and Joe provided winter clothing for many of her less fortunate students; therefore, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque or online to the Better Beginnings Better Futures (Coats for Kids), which would be greatly appreciated. Aunt Jean, we will miss your sparkling smile, amazing wit, contagious laughter and your passion for life. Your strength of character is something that will remain with us forever. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
