It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jean (John) Thivierge at the age of 88 years old Thursday, May 20, 2021. Beloved husband of Pauline (Lemay), best dad ever of Sylvie Wilson (Bruce) & Stephan (Tammy). Cherished grandpa of Brodie (Samantha), Brock (Beth), Chanelle (Kyle), Stephanie, Remi (predeceased) & Ryan (Emmalee). GG (Great Grandpa) adored his great grandchildren: Ella, Leyland, Sadie, Brynleigh, Emerson & Lola. Loving brother of Louise (Andre predeceased), Jacques (Jacqueline) & Gilles (Gisele). Predeceased by his parents Bernadette & Robert as well as his brothers George (Denise), Vincent, Denis (Marie), Michel (Claudette), Bernard (Audette predeceased) & his sister Jeannine (Leo predeceased).
He enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a generous & giving man, always ready to help anyone in need. He worked 36 years for Air Canada & prided himself on his accomplishments during his career.
We are blessed to have had him in our lives & he will always have a special place in our hearts. You will never be forgotten.
The family would like to thank the staff at Extendicare Falconbridge for taking such good care of John during his 3year stay.
There will not be any visitation or service. Donations can be made to Diabetes Canada or the Alzheimer’s Society. Arrangements entrusted to the Cooperative Funeral Home.
