Il is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 in Sudbury at the age of 89 years. Beloved husband of the late Marielle (née Gaudet) Baril. Son of the late Fortunat Baril and of the late Louise-Anna (née Latraverse) Baril. Loving father of Carole (Frank Hemming), Céline (Claude Patry) and Claude (Denis Lavoie). Sadly missed by his grandchildren Mélanie (Jeff), Pierre (Pamela), Alexandre, Gabriel, Maxime, Tristan, his great-grandchildren André, Lucas, Sophie, Kaden, Daphné and his brother Gaston (late Rita). Predeceased by his sisters Georgette (Arthur), Jacqueline, Lucille (Roland), his brother Marcelin, his son Gilles and his granddaughter Véronique. He enjoyed travelling, golfing and fishing. Jacques and his late wife Marielle were owners of the store (Baril’s Fabrics Center Ltd) for many years. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
