SEGUIN (née Bourdeau), Jacqueline - The family announces with sorrow her death in Sudbury on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at the age of 85 years.  She was born in Valleyfield, Quebec, the daughter of the late Gilbert and Simone Bourdeau.  She was the beloved wife of the late Donald Seguin, husband of 61 years. Loving mother of Denise Coffin (Doug) of Lively; Gerald Seguin (Joan) of Lively; Helen Lamontagne (Claude) of St. Charles, and Paul Seguin (Anne), of Lively. Predeceased by her daughters Suzanne Lalancette (late Ron), Louise Lamontagne (Gaëtan, wife Jacqueline), and Carole Seguin. Cherished grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  Jackie was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured and embraced every moment with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and her grand-dogs. She especially loved her role as Mémère/ Grandma/Great Grandma.  She had a loving personality and always made people around her laugh.  She devoted many hours volunteering for Walden Friendship Centre in Lively, St. Pius X CWL, and the Ontario Special Olympics.  We express our thanks to Meadowbrook Retirement Community and the team at the Heart Failure Disease Management Program for enriching Jackie’s life over the past few years.  In addition, although her stay at the Falconbridge Extendicare was short, we express our gratitude to the staff for the excellent care and compassion she received during her brief stay. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there will be no visitation or service at this time. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Donations to the Down Syndrome Association of Sudbury or the Heart & Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
