It is with great sorrow that the family announces his passing in Chelmsford on Saturday, August 20, 2022, at the age of 89 years. Son of the late Solomon and late Alma (née Grandmaison) Tessier. Beloved husband of Louise (née Arcand) Tessier, having recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. Loving father of Pierre Tessier (Micheline Gagnier) and Hélène Vercouteren (Peter). Cherished grandfather of Amélie Lapalme (Roch), Samuel Tessier (Josie-Ann), late Jean-Pierre Tessier; Émile, Alec and Marie-Josée Vercouteren (Jean-Claude Couture). Proud great-grandfather of Isabelle, Danica and Vivianne Lapalme; Sébastien and Lilianne Tessier. Dear brother of Gaëtan (Rachel), Jacques (Jocelyne) and Gérard. Predeceased by his sister Yollande and brothers Marcel, Jean-Paul and Claude.

Guy was a kind and gentle soul who touched many hearts. He worked at INCO for 31 years. In their retirement, Guy and Louise enjoyed many winters in Heritage Village (Okeechobee, Florida). On their farm in Chelmsford, Guy spent countless hours in his garden: that was his happy place. Guy always kept busy and was quite clever fixing anything that needed special care. He loved to cook for his family, and whoever came to visit would leave with loads of his fresh vegetables.
The family would like to thank the frontline staff (RNs, RPNs, PCAs) of Villa St. Gabriel Villa (Whitewater neighbourhood), Chelmsford for their compassionate care.

The family will receive relatives and friends at the Cooperative Funeral Home, 4691 R.R. 15, Chelmsford on Friday, September 2nd, 2022, from 6-9 p.m. (Wearing of masks is requested by the family). Funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, September 3rd, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St-Joseph Church, Errington St., Chelmsford.
