It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Gilberte Rochon. Loving wife of the late Art Sr. Beloved daughter of the late Violette and late Hector Roy. Predeceased by her sisters Elaine, Jeannine, Carmen and Yollande. Cherished mother of Paulette (Jean-Yves)(late Maurice), Georgette (late Jean-Paul), Robin (late Sue)(late Lynda), Art (Liisa) and Roy. Beloved grandmother to Allain (Olwen), Joël (Maria), Dominique (Micheline), Julie (Tara), Daniel (Sophie), Monique (Paxton), Serge (Francine), Christopher, Shelly (Scott), Jody (Rob), Jessica (David), Korrine, Lana (Ryan) and Renée. Great-grandmother to Kamin (Ellena), Danika (Mackenzie), Aiden, Kynan, Émilie, Braden, John Dale, Elise, Patrick, Mila, Justin, Eva, Paul Jeanna, Elodie, Noah, Emma, Georgia, Eden, Broughan, Tavish, Makenna, Sierra, Colton, Andrew, Matthew, Royce and Rayne. She raised her family in Markstay, a town very dear to her heart. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the staff in the Palliative Care unit at Health Sciences North who provided Gilberte with loving care and compassion in her final days. Visitation at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle Blvd., Sudbury, Wednesday, October 2, 2019 between 2-5 and 7-9 pm. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mark Church, Markstay on Thursday, October 3, 2019 at 11 am.
