With profound sadness we announce the passing of our loving and devoted mother and friend to all those who’s lives she touched. Gilberte was born in Alban to parents Oswald and Aldea Bouchard (née Jean). Jill met her husband Marius Bouverat at church when he returned from active service in England after WW2. After their marriage in 1947, they became proprietors of the Hotel Beausejour for over 30 years. Jill was the beloved mother of Helen (Veikko Jarvi), Leon (Lise Venne) and Robert (Karen Hamilton). Proud grandmother of Melanie (Borys Hoshowsky), Erick Jarvi, Anne (Danny Kalaher), Roch and Julie Bouverat, Richard (predeceased), Mackenzie and Adam Bouverat. Great grandmother of Larissa and Halya, Annalie and Leah, Britanie, Zacharie (predeceased), Bailey and Kayle. Predeceased by her loving and devoted husband Marius, her brothers Rheo and Daniel. Jill leaves behind her cherished siblings and their loved ones, Gisele Leduc, Jean, Anita Cook, Normand, Laurier, Liliane Lamothe, Michel and George Bouchard. Jill was a very social, outgoing and joyful woman and a Master at cribbage. She was widely read, bright and compassionate and loved her family and friends. She had a heart of gold and was a very generous person who helped her children, siblings and many people from her community over the years. Our family would like to recognize the staff and healthcare workers from the Elizabeth Centre for their gentle, kind and compassionate care of Jill. A special thank you to Nella who was her caregiver for over 9 years. Donations to Parkinson’s Canada, Heart and Stroke Foundation and Crohn’s Canada would be greatly appreciated.
