The family announces with great sorrow his passing in Sudbury, Tuesday, May 11, 2021 at the age of 83 years. Beloved husband of Pauline (née Bissonnette) Chrétien. Son of the late Carolus and the late Claire (née Lajeunesse) Chrétien. Loving father of Monique Chrétien (Pierre Primeau) and Johanne Chrétien (Allen Jackson) both of Sudbury. Dear brother of Jeannine Savarie (late Stanley), Arlette "Jackie" Lalonde (late Rhéal), Suzanne Lafrenière (Maurice) and Marielle Gaudet (Jean-Pierre). Predeceased by his siblings Florent Chrétien (late Rosa), Raymonde Shultz (late Alfred), Laurent Chrétien (Rollande) and Laurianne Piquette (Joseph). Cherished grandfather of Karine Primeau, Véronique Venne, Nicolas Venne, all of Sudbury and Cédric Primeau of Ottawa. Mr. Chrétien was a dairy farmer, electronics technician for Sears, and owner and landlord of apartment buildings. He was most happy when surrounded by his family. He will be remembered as an energetic, task oriented, knowledgeable, and resourceful man. He loved a good discussion and had a witty sense of humour. He is also survived by many nephews, nieces, cousins and other relatives and precious friends. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service.
