After a long courageous battle with colon cancer, it is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Diane Thériault, 68 years, on May 7th, 2022, surrounded by her adoring family in her home. Beloved wife of Gérard and loving mother to Mireille (Glenn Murray) and Alain (Kim Popowich). Doting grandmother to Kayla, Lindsay and Josée. Dedicated daughter of the late Paul Lalonde and late Thérèse Lalonde (Morin). Dear sister of Suzanne (Mike Landry) and Raymond. Predeceased by her sister Paulette (late Gaston Larivière). She will be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Though Diane’s health was failing for years, few people knew the extent to which she struggled. Her strong character was much to be admired as it resonated through her will to live. Diane will always be remembered as an indominable spirit, a matinee girl who was always looking forward to the next family gathering where there would be an opportunity for her to sing, dance and celebrate life’s blessings. Always concerned for the well-being of others, Diane was the go-to for anyone seeking advice, wisdom and she was naturally proactive in any situation. In her presence, you felt valued, reassured, and unconditionally cherished. There was nothing nobler or more admirable than to witness her never ending devotion to the love of her life, Gerry. The family would like to express gratitude for the many acts of generosity during these difficult times.
