The family announces with sorrow, his death in Sudbury, Sunday, January 17, 2010 at the age of 58 years. Beloved son of Marius Proux of Sudbury and of the late Yvette Proulx (née Gatien). Dedicated long time friend of Timothy Rawson of Sudbury. Dear brother of Claudette Courchesnes (Marc) of North Bay and Louise Boisvert and André Proulx both of Sudbury. Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his niece Danielle and nephew Phillip. He had a special affection for animals and will be greatly missed by his family pets. A 1973 Laurentian University graduate, Claude then graduated from the Teacher?s College in 1978. He went on to teach in the Sudbury and retired after 30 years of service with the French Catholic School Board. In his leisure time, he enjoyed arts and gardening. In keeping with Claude request, there will be private visitations and a private family service. Donations (by cheque only) to the S.P.C.A. would be greatly appreciated.
