Obituary for Claude Roland Morin

MORIN, Claude Roland
It is with great sorrow his family announces his passing in Val Caron, Wednesday March 17, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Beloved husband of 64 years, to Pierrette (née Roy) Morin. Son of the late Maxime and the late Adesse (née Fortin) Morin. Loving father of Louise Sonier (Bob), Carole Sonier (Guy), Joanne Fortin (Jean-Guy) and Joel (Nicole). Dear brother of Raymond (late Judy), Paul (Lynn), Claire Bradley Robillard (Roy) and Lorraine McDonald. Predeceased by his siblings Johnny (Rachel), Rene (Harriette), Robert (Truda), Gerry (Doreen) and Pauline Goudreau (Richard). Cherished “Pépère” to 10 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Lovingly remembered by the Roy family, many nieces, nephews and friends. Claude worked at Inco as a diamond driller for 35 years. A real people person, after retirement, he enjoyed cooking and gardening. He was a jack of all trades and would never turn down a job to help family or friends. Lastly, and not to be forgotten, was his love for his dogs, Chief and Misha! The family would like to send a special thanks to the staff, nurses and PSW’s who took great care of him during his stay at Elizabeth Centre. Due to the pandemic, a service will be held at the St-Joseph church a later date. Donations can be made to the Northeast Cancer Centre or to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
