The family announces with sadness his passing on April 11, 2022 at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Colette Larivière (née Labelle), son of the late Matte and the late Béatrice Larivière (Campeau). Father of Léa Paquette (Michel) of Hanmer, of Michel Larivière (Colette) of Belle River, of Lucien Larivière of Hanmer, of the late Cécile Larivière-Leduc (late Ricky Leduc) of Hanmer, and of Léo L. Larivière (Karole) of Hanmer.

Dear grandfather of Julie Paquette (Peter Lind), Alain Paquette (Julie), Anne Kelly (Dale), Marguerite Hurtubise (Marc-André), Patrique Paquette (Kaylyn), Sylvie Larivière (Chris Gowanlock), Mathieu Larivière (Alaina), Solange Leduc (Edward Noland), Jacqueline Leduc and Monique Leduc (Nicholas Grenier).

Proud great-grandfather of Jacob, Victoria, Serge, Éric, Nicholas, Jonathan, Zacharie, Dominique, Véronique, Christian, Bernard, Gregory, Michel, Bella, Wyatt, Taylor, Gabriella, Joseph, and Oliver.

Brother of the late Yollande Grandbois (late Jean-Paul), of the late Édéanne Leclair (late Constant), of Gérard Larivière (Léa), of the late Marcel Larivière (Dianne) and of Yves Larivière (Sylvie-Anne).

Christian practiced his faith with great devotion and was a 4th degree Knight of Columbus in Council 5005 for over twenty-eight years. His wife, children, grandchildren, siblings, and all other family members were his first priority.

Christian enjoyed working the land on the Larivière farm.

He will be etched in our hearts forever. The family will receive relatives only at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 4570 St-Joseph, Hanmer, Monday April 18, 2022 from 2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at 11 a.m. at St-Jacques Parish, Hanmer.
