Obituary for Beverley Gillespie (Chalk)

Beverley Gillespie (Chalk)
It is with great sadness that the family announces her peaceful passing at her residence surrounded by her loving family in Sudbury on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at the age of 79 years. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim” Gillespie. Loving mother of Keith Gillespie (Nicole) and Eleanor Kent (Joe). Dear sister-in-law of Maeva Gillespie. Predeceased by her brother Blair Chalk (Donna). Cherished Nana of Olivia, Nyla, Dorian, Sierra and Kaylea, and Aunt to Tony. She will be sadly missed by her best friend Rosalie and by many relatives and friends. The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude for the unwavering kindness and generosity of our neighbours and friends, and we are forever grateful. We would like to share this special quote that our Mom carried in her purse and chose to live by everyday: “I’d like to be the sort of friend that you have been to me. I’d like to be the help that you’ve been always glad to be; I’d like to mean as much to you each minute of the day, as you have meant, old friend of mine, to me along the way.” Fait accompli! In honour of her wishes, the family has chosen to celebrate her life privately. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made by cheque or online to the Maison McCulloch Hospice at www.maisonsudburyhospice.org or www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
