Obituary for Aurel Lefebvre

It is with great sorrow that the family announces the passing of Aurel Albert Lefebvre in the early morning of March 17th, 2023. Beloved husband of Carol Linda Lefebvre (née Bellrose). Son of the late William Lefebvre and late Thérèse Lefebvre (née Desjardins). Survived by his sisters Madeleine Lefebvre, Dorilla Lefebvre, Rosie Lefebvre, Lise Brisson, Diane Lefebvre and brother Lionel Lefebvre. Predeceased by brothers Norm Brisson, William (Billy) Lefebvre and sister Lorraine Lefebvre. Loving father of Kimberly (Neil), Angie (Richard), Rod (Deborah), Todd (Lynn), Renee, Aurel Junior A.J (Joanne). Lovingly missed by his fourteen grandchildren, Chantal, Cody, Brittany, Moe, Kyle, Randy, Gavin, Andrew, Ryan, Matt, Brady, Riley, Nicholas and Mikaela. Cherished also by his ten great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews both here and gone. Aurel left a heavy impact on his community with his decades of volunteer and sports enthused interests including coaching his boys in many competitive years of hockey and the annual Mine Mill Bonspiel curling tournament. An active member of the Lions Club Legion and Mine Mill Retirees Union he will be greatly missed. He loved to play golf, play pool and curl and could often be found at “the office” enjoying a beverage or two with his buddies. Aurel was also a die-hard Toronto Maple Leaf’s fan and we’re trusting he’ll do what he can upstairs to bring his team to the cup this year. We love you Dad, Grandpa and GG, rest easy! The family will receive relatives and friends at the COOPERATIVE FUNERAL HOME, 222 Lasalle blvd, Sudbury on Wednesday, March 22, 2023, from 2 to 4 p.m. Payers in the parlour will follow at 4 p.m. Donations by cheque or online to the Ontario SPCA would be appreciated.
